The 17-4 PH stainless steel grade is a strong, tough material that offers greater corrosion resistance than 15-5 PH and can be heat treated at low temperatures after machining to increase its strength and hardness. This material can be heat treated in lower temperatures than other heat-treatable stainless steels, reducing the likelihood of the material warping and scaling. A precipitation-hardening stainless steel, 17-4 PH is magnetic in its hardened state. The material was ground to achieve the precise shape, size, and surface finish.。Stainless steel is an iron alloy with resistance to staining and rusting in many environments where steel would typically degrade. The chemical composition of each grade creates a grain structure that falls into one of five classes: austenitic, duplex, ferritic, martensitic, and precipitation hardening. The austenitic class contains the most formable, weldable, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades, but they cannot be heat treated.
